Patrick McGuirk

Patrick McGuirk joined Bank of Hawaii as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in November 2020. He oversees the Corporate Security, Corporate Secretary, Corporate Risk Insurance, and Legal divisions of the bank.

Mr. McGuirk’s 25 years of financial services legal experience includes serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Flagstar Bank, and Counsel to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Prior to his government service, Mr. McGuirk represented financial institutions and other corporations in private practice as a partner in the New York City office of Sidley Austin LLP.

Mr. McGuirk received his juris doctorate from the Fordham University School of Law and has a bachelor of arts degree from Binghamton University, the State University of New York. Mr. McGuirk is engaged in civic, professional and charitable activities, including serving as a board member of IHS, The Institute for Human Services, Inc. He is admitted to practice law in Hawaii, Michigan, New Jersey and New York.
